I make cheese and run a website & forum called CheeseForum.org and ordered these as I needed larger nesting - double boiler stainless steel (not aluminum) type stockpots for warming milk and separating curds and whey.These just arrived just 6 days after ordering with free, slower shipping. As expected they are thin with bottoms the same thickness as walls. But to act as nested double boilers for warming milk they are perfect and they stack down small with next size smaller lids going inside bottom of previous pot, except largest lid of course. When used as double boiler, the clearance is about 1 in/2 cm on bottom and 1/2 in/1 cm on each side. Only negative is labels didn't peel off well.Box said Made In India and that useful for several types of cooking but they forgot making cheese! Maybe they don't make cheese in India? Great value!UPDATE #1 - Dec 2009, finally got around to using the largest "20 US Quart" Stockpot, to my surprise it only holds 16 US quarts and completely full, notified Amazon of incorrect box labeling and description on their site, they were good and gave me coupon for $6.UPDATE #2 - Jan 30 2009, used largest stockpot again, filled to 1 inch from top with 4 US gallons milk for making cheese, found leaking from rivet holes on each side, bailed out milk, my 5 us gallon stockpot now has a max capacity of 3 US gallons, posted picture of problem at top. Cheap but poor quality, sad.

Quality and Volumes are Suspect

Issue 1: The quality is poor. I expected poor quality from a four pot set for $40, so I was not displeased with the chipped stainless coating nor with the thin gauge steel.Issue 2: I was displeased with the false advertising pertaining to the pots' volumes. Every pot is about 25% low in volume. The "20qt" pot is about 15qt. The "8qt" pot is 6qt, etc. Volume measurement is not always accurate, so here I will supply the linear measurements to calculate the volume:The largest pot measures 9.5" high (interior) by 11.5" diameter (interior)PI * (11.5 / 2)^2 * 9.5 = 960.8 cubic inches960.8 cubic inches * 1 qt / 57.75 cubic inches = 16.63 quartsThat is the volume when filled to the brim. You could only boil about 15 quarts safely.If all you need is four cheaply constructed nesting pots of volumes between 6 and 15 quarts, then this is the product for you. If you want better quality or the volumes actually stated on the packaging, find a different product.

20QTs - not really

The largest pot is maybe 14Qts as delivered to me. Did not look right from the size of the box and sure enough I filled a 2qt container 6 times and dumped the water in. Pretty close to the top already.That is why it is so cheap combined with the absolute thinnest steel pot I have ever seen.Doesn't anyone at Amazon actually check this stuff before they list it for sale?Not worth the hassle of returning for $20
