I have had this set for at least 3 years and I love it. The teflon is still intact. I do not ever use metal on my teflon. The copper bottoms are darkened but I have never tried to clean them with anything. These pans are awesome to cook with and easy to clean afterward! I love cooking chili in the large pan because it doesn't burn to the bottom even if I make a mistake and leave the heat on too high. I am buying a set for my son and his wife for Christmas. My set came from the Food Network site and not Walmart or Big Lots.

No problem here

I didn't buy the set on amazon. I only have the teflon fry pan and a sauce pan from this set. I have been told not to heat up the fry pan on high, But I almost always set the pan on a high burner, it is great for searing steaks, chops or hamburger. I don't use the teflon as a cutting board and have had no trouble with the teflon or the copper bottom the outside is a bit dark with burnt on grease, but its a guy thing, I am sure I could make them all nice and shiny with some silver polish. I don't drop it in cold water while it is still hot. The sauce pan is great and holds heat for a long time, no pitting at all and a little 409 once a week and its sparkely.

Not what I expected from Paula Dean

This is not worth the money. I bought these pans a year ago. The copper ring on the small fry pan peeled away. Everything sticks to the sauce pans. I followed the manufacturers directions piror to using the pans. The inside of the sauce pans look stained. My cheaper pans I have bought from Walmart lasted longer and looked better than this set that I thought I would be upgrading to. I have not yet had any problems with the bigger fry pan. Over all I am disappointed.
