A coarse grind

We bought this mill with aspirations of making more nutritious bread, and we encountered multiple problems, resulting in a 3 hour frustration. I do not recommend this particular brand.1- Once it was set up at the smallest grind setting the grind plates could allow, only my husband had the strength to crank the handle.2- The "flour" that resulted from both the brown rice and wheat berries we tested was so coarse, it more closely resembled cornmeal or cream of wheat.3- Even after triple grinding, we were only able to generate about 1 part flour to 3 parts coarse hulls/husks/grain meal. I sifted the good flour to use for pancakes. To utilize the coarse product, I soaked it overnight before use in cookies, and it was still quite chewy, and even bordered on too chewy to be enjoyable.4- After grinding for 15 minutes, a lynch-pin snapped in the grinding mechanism; it was required for setting the grinding plate at the desired distance. We rigged a solution to continue grinding, but never got a flour that I'd be proud to show off.
